Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Betty moved to the South Florida area in 1973. She lived in Coral Springs for two years and then moved to Clewiston, Florida with her family. There she obtained her real estate license and was active in selling real estate for over 10 years. In 1987, she moved back to Broward County and has resided in the Fort Lauderdale area since then.
